Welcome to Below the Fold! Coming to you live from Paragraph π
Oh boy I've been procrastinating. Same TPan, same Web3 with TPan newsletter, new home for BTF!
Let's make this quick. It's late and I'm still figuring out all the bells and whistles for this thing.
Perks Recap
I've moved the weekend newsletter to BTF. Why? Here's a hint π
I still have one more code for 6 free months of LinkedIn Premium. Let me know if you want it π
I've adjusted settings for my Substack where Premium subscribers will have access to my full archive of writing. Pieces before 6/30/22 will only be available to my Premium subscribers. Why did I make this decision?
I want to keep providing value to you guys, my Premium Subs!
I want to keep a realistic balance between 'keeping my written content free forever' with 'I want to provide one more reason for free subscribers to upgrade to premium'. Free subscribers will still have access to a substantial backlog of my archive, 4.5 months worth to be specific.
Free subscribers will have all my content in their inbox if they subscribed earlier on.
I can choose to reverse this decision if I want. The content paywall feature is also in beta, so there may be additional customization in the future.
I'm open to any feedback and thoughts on the archived paywall point. I'm in experimentation mode with this π€·ββοΈ
Whatβs going on with TPan
Professional
Testing out video! Here's my first video based on 139: Community Performance Marketing. Feel free to share it, provide feedback, or laugh at my talking head in the corner.
I'm going to be creating a YouTube channel in the near future to test distribution while creating video content in a scrappy manner through Loom and using my Substack content as the backdrop.
Video content has been on the back of my mind for months and I've finally jumped in the deep end. I'll have a lot to figure out in terms of how to leverage this soon-to-be YouTube channel to become a flywheel for the primary content engine, Substack.
The Loom video is 22 minutes (much longer than I expected) and is meant for those that prefer audio and/or video instead of writing. Let's see how it goes!
By using Loom I don't have to worry about video production and let the content to the heavy lifting. I also don't have to worry about content ideas. It's funny how I used to cringe looking at and hearing myself in the past. It's feels normal nowadays.
Personal
Thanksgiving: I'll be taking time off starting this Wednesday, and boy am I looking forward to that! Spending time with A and her family to grub, watch World Cup, and hang out.
Additionally, I'll be using the time to catch up on various items I've been putting off for some time.
What I'm thinking about for my writing
Wallet Wars - Came across a very interesting custodial wallet over the weekend. I think it was the missing piece to some thoughts on wallets.
